Engineer

Do you have a special gift for solving complex problems and helping people with technical issues?

EVS is hiring a junior software engineer who is passionate about the customer and their user experience. As a junior software engineer you will initially focus on troubleshooting technical problems and researching and answering technical questions. You will also assist in gathering requirements, documentation, user training, and support to maintain and improve overall system performance.

Over time, you will have the opportunity to assist in the development of EVS' industry-leading suite of warehouse management software, including our next-generation product, mobe3. mobe3 is an advanced multi-tier system consisting of web and mobile clients, REST and microservices, advanced analytics, and both SQL and non-relational data stores.

duties

  • Respond to technical support requests through email, phone, and helpdesk application.
  • Research problems and provide answers to clients.
  • Guide clients through steps to resolve issues.
  • Document issues and resolutions.
  • Test functionality of new and existing software.
  • Maintain and support existi ng product features and customers.

Required Experience

  • BS in CS or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Experience

  • Experience with help desk software (Zendesk, Freshdesk, GetSatisfaction).
  • Experience with bug tracking software (JIRA, Rally, Pivotal Tracker, etc).
  • Experience with continuous integration software (Travis CI, Jenkins, CruiseControl, etc).
  • Experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, etc).
  • Experience with ERP systems (bonus points for Sage 500, Great Plains, Infor Syteline).
  • Understanding of general accounting, distribution and manufacturing principals.

Manager

Do you have a special gift for managing complexity while creating a great product?

EVS is hiring a product manager who is passionate about the customer and their user experience. As a product manager, you will focus on managing our engineering backlog and priorities. You will interact with our customers, consultants, sales team, and engineers to gather, refine, and prioritize our requirements and our deliverables.

You will assist in the development and deployment of EVS' industry-leading suite of warehouse management software, including our next-generation product, mobe3. mobe3 is an advanced multi-tier system consisting of web and mobile clients, REST and microservices, advanced analytics, and both SQL and non-relational data stores.

duties

  • Work with consulting to capture and escalate product bugs.
  • Work with sales and the product owner to define and refine product requirements.
  • Own and maintain our engineering backlog and roadmap.
  • Own and run our agile development process, including our stand-ups and backlog reviews.
  • Document issues and resolutions.
  • Assist in some testing of functionality of new and existing software.

Required Experience

  • BS in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years enterprise product management experience, ideally in a SaaS organization.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, XP).
  • Experience with bug tracking software (JIRA, Rally, Pivotal Tracker, etc.).
